The Worst of 1960 ~ #6 – Tormented

13 Dec

B0000D1FI4_01_LZZZZZZZI was tormented watching this film. It’s a story told many times, and a has been told on film a thousand times better.   Richard Carlson [Creature From the Black Lagoon] stars as Tom Steward who lets his former flame fall to her death.  He then finds himself haunted by her spirit who tries to ruin his relationship with his current fiance.

The acting was dull and slow, as was the plot. The score seemed to drag worse than the movie. The young girl (played by Susan Gordon the directors daughter) was absolutley annoying, so much I wished she would have been the one to fall off the cliff. The special effects were not special at all. The best was when the head of the dead former lover appeared. I actually laughed. There were so many things wrong with this movie, it’s hard to put in words. One of the worst of 1960, and to think there are other films yet to rate that are worse than this one!
