Alien ~ 1979

The entire cast, led by Tom Skerrit and Sigourney Weaver, is very, very good, Weaver is actually Spectacular–and the film abounds with memorable images and scenes ranging from John Hurt’s encounter with the alien egg to Skerrit’s search of the ship air ducts to Weaver’s terrifying race against time as the ship counts down to self-destruct. Seldom has any film been so consistent in design, cast, direction, and out-and-out fear factor. Alien was one of the first Sci-fi movies that I really wanted to see, and really enjoyed. Never being a Sci-fi fan, this film brought the genre into my mainstream watching habits.

Of Course, the direction of Ridley Scott is impeccable, The special effects and graphics, even though this film is almost 30 years old, it still is impressive. Of the Alien films, this one was by far my favorite. A
